Because every homeless pet deserves another shot at life
This #SecondChanceSummer, we’re not just asking for a donation—we’re asking you to stand with us in a mission that saves lives.
In May, we launched the Second Chance Medical Fund to build a healthier, more compassionate future for the homeless animals who depend on us—and for the families across Nassau County who are struggling to care for their beloved pets. This fund is their lifeline. With your help, it will bring emergency and routine care to shelter animals and allow us to expand low-cost veterinary services to the families who need it most.
Right now, hundreds of unwanted, sick, and injured animals rely on us every single day. We spend nearly $500,000 a year on veterinary care—providing everything from vaccines and medications to emergency surgeries and specialist visits. But we can’t sustain this alone.
We need your help to bring these critical services in-house—to cut costs, save time, and give animals the immediate care they deserve. Your support will help us purchase vital medical equipment like an X-ray machine, ultrasound, and dental unit for our mobile clinic. It will help us build a sterile recovery space. And most importantly, it will help us hire a full-time shelter veterinarian, the single most important step in creating a truly self-sufficient, responsive medical program.
We rely entirely on the compassion of people like you. It’s your generosity that allowed us to commit $250,000 to launch the Second Chance Medical Fund.
Now, we need your help to:
- provide emergency and everyday medical care to hundreds of homeless pets
- say “yes” to animals in need of surgeries, specialists, or long-term treatment
- give second chances to the ones others might turn away
We must raise $500,000 this year to keep hope alive for the animals who have no one else.
Will you be part of their second chance?
