Simply stop by anytime between (11 AM – 3 PM, 7 days a week), fill out a quick application, and sign a waiver. Our team will match you with a dog who could really use a break. We’ll provide everything you need—including supplies and ideas for dog-friendly places to go.

How long can I take a dog out of the shelter?
It’s up to you! You can take them on a car ride to go get a pup-cup, take them to your home for a few hours for play time and naps, downtown for a stroll or even to the beach. Just let us know when you want to bring them back and we’ll be ready for them. Weekends are also a great option!
Why are Dogs Day Outs so important?
Dogs Day Outs give our pets a much needed “break” from the stress of the shelter. They also help us learn about that pet’s behavior and their likes, dislikes. This helps us find them homes faster.
Which dogs are eligible to go on a Dogs Day Out?
Each week, our team selects dogs who could benefit from a break from the shelter environment. We will work with your comfort level, experience, and handling skills to match you with an appropriate dog for your outing.
