Meet Ducky. Ducky came to Nassau Humane Society from another shelter in need of serious help. He has been diagnosed with a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) rupture, leaving him with a very painful and unstable knee joint. Ducky, being an energetic seven-year-old, just wants to be able to play again without the fear of experiencing pain.
To put Ducky on the road to recovery, he must first have major surgery. This mandatory surgery that Ducky needs will cost $3,800. #ThanksToMaddie and their support of our Underdog Club, we only need a balance of $2,150! Every little bit counts, so we are asking our community to consider making a donation to help fund the rest of Ducky’s medical expenses.
Donations can be made online here, by calling the shelter at 904-321-1647, or by visiting the shelter at 639 Airport Road in Fernandina Beach.
Update, 7/18/20: We have amazing news! In the last 24 hours, we have raised $800 towards Ducky’s surgery. That means we only need to raise $1,300! We could not be more grateful for our community and the donations we have received. Please keep sharing our posts so we can fully fund Ducky’s much needed surgery. We truly could not do this without the support of YOU!
