Doggy Easter Egg Hunts, April 20, 2019

Thanks to all who took part in our first Doggy Easter Egg Hunts, on Easter eve at the NHS Dog Park on Airport Road! Dogs “found” their eggs by touching their noses to them — there were good-smelling treats inside. Hunts were held for small (under 35 pounds) and large dogs, in the small-dog area of the NHS Dog Park, 641 Airport Road in Fernandina Beach.

Small-dog most-eggs-found winners: Hunter and Holly Burtha with Bolt, who found 29 eggs!

Small-dog best costume winners: Ladott Nist and Emily Nist with Tony

Tony came dressed as Flower, the skunk from the movie Bambi

Large-dog most-eggs-found winners: Sierra Black, Kierran Balcita and Bear, who found 39 eggs!

Large-dog best costume winners: Solange and Alex Garrett, son Liam, baby Elizabeth (in the baby carrier) and Hazel

NHS Sheler Manager Deb Ewald, Director of Operations Christina Sutherin and Dog Park Manager Molly Davis with the Easter Bunny, who posed with guests’ dogs for photos by Boston Photography. We hope everyone enjoyed this fun event, and we can’t wait to do it again next year! Happy Easter from NHS!
